When Pub-Campers Converge

Keep your eyes peeled this weekend: you may spot some totebags around DC, but you’ll more likely see civic-minded web developers. Yup, it’s Public Media Camp again.

It’s an annual “un”- conference that brings together innovators from PBS, NPR and the public. I volunteered last year while interning under Andy Carvin at NPR’s Social Media Desk. Now, I’m returning as a volunteer and groupie.

How can we improve public media? We’ll be brainstorming on American University’s campus all weekend. Check out the wiki and iStrategy Labs, one of the creative leaders whipping this together.

Check back here early next week for a recap on the weekend and other resources on creative civic projects.
