Down-Home Ethiopian Dish

It’s not everyday I find myself gouging into a large plate of Ethiopian food with my bare hands.

My friends and I stumbled across Zenebech Injera just at the edge of Ledroit Park and Howard University. It’s rated close to five stars by foodies on Yelp.

Top picks: the Veggie Combo, plus a spicy meat dish (see center of the plate) that included a hard-boiled egg and two chicken drums. I will let the photos speak for themselves.

(Side note: you know you’re eating authentic Ethiopian when the restaurant is filled with patrons of African descent, a sub-set of whom are DC cab drivers).
